Installation - Install an Aggregator - Linux

Aggregator Overview:

The Aggregator stores data collected from connected Collectors, allowing for efficient and in-depth analysis of unstructured data. Data is stored in the specified database during Aggregator setup, facilitating the connection with the APARAVI platform.

Installing the Aggregator:

  1. Complete the Aggregator setup form.
  2. Click download to send the the Linux installer file (with a .run extension) from the Platform to your local machine.
  3. Open a terminal in the directory where the downloaded file is located, usually the user's Downloads directory.
  4. Make the file executable to proceed with the installation.

To start the installation, use its filename name as the command to run, for example:

sudo ./install-Aggregator-Demo-2.10.1-9598.run

This will then start the download of the packets, extraction, and installation of the software.

After installation, the Aggregator should display online status when hovering over its name. If there are any issues during or after installation, make sure firewall dependencies are met.
